In maths we have been learning about graph. I like it because is it easy.

Tying my shoe laces

This term I have been learning how to tie my shoe laces all by myself. It was tricky to make an x with my laces and pull through the hole. I have been practicing every day and now I can do it easily.
My Teacher aid Mrs Russell helped me to tie my shoe laces. We would practice tying my laces everyday after morning tea. Now I can tie them all by myself. I am very proud of myself.

In geometry we have been looking at directions on maps. We have learnt what a compass looks like and the directions: North , East , south , west , NE , NW , SE , SW. I remember it by......never eat soggy weet bix. IN this task we had to                               I found it easy and why because is town maps.

Alligators

In literacy we have been learning about Alligators. We have filled in a fact sheet and have made a picture to share with you. I found the making the picture hard because it needed different shapes.

Ambulances

In reading we have been learning about ambulances. I created a facts sheet to share with you.

Instant Pudding

On Monday in Literacy we tried some instant pudding. First we had to look at it and describe what it looked like. Then we had to smell it and say what it smelt like. Next came the best part. We got to taste the instant pudding. Finally we had to describe what it felt like in our mouth. I liked the pudding because it tasted like banana. I wouldn't want to eat it again. We wrote a story about all the instant pudding. I hope you like it.

Hockey

Today we had Peter from Canterbury Hockey. In Hockey we were learning how to stop the ball. I learnt how to hold the Hockey stick. We learnt how to dribble the ball across the court. I learnt how to keep the ball in the hoop. Last of all we played a game like rob the nest. Our team lost.  I found it hard to control and stop the ball. I found it easy getting the ball into the hoop. I learnt how to hit the ball around in a circle. I found hockey really hard to learn. I hope it will be easier next time.

We have been learning how to Safely post Information about me on our blog. I have created a poster all about me using google drawing. I found coloring my goggle drawing a bit tricky. I liked making myself out of shapes and coloring them in.

Quality Blog Post Animation

In cyber smart we have been making digital animation about how to write a quality blog post. First we took a photo of ourselves. Then we added then to a slide and put speech bubbles on the slide. It was hard because there were lots of slides. I liked adding the pictures and putting speech bubbles on the Mouths. I hope you enjoy my animation.

Calendar Art

For calendar art this week we have learnt to blend colours with paint. I really enjoyed painting the sun on my sunset picture. I found it difficult to blend the paint to get the right colour. First I had to sketch the outline of my picture onto my papers. Then I used a paintbrush to paint the different colours on my papers. when it was dry I took a photo. Here is my sunset calendar Art. My Disgusting Dinner writing

In literacy we have been writing about disgusting dinner. we had to make up a disgusting dinner story using lots of adjectives. I found it hard to think of different disgusting foods. I liked the dog poo pikelets the best.We published our stories on our chomebooks in the end. I hope you like my disgusting dinner. what would you like in your disgusting dinner?

In Whakarua we have been writing our Mihi.  We had to find out information about our family and where we come from.  Then we had to record our Pepeha and present it on our blog.

Mr Goodin brought us some bubble mixure into class this week and we got to blow the bubbles.

Spencer park

On Thursday I went to Spencer park for a school trip. I played in the playground on the see saw with Ethan. Ethan was stuck up in the air. It was very funny.
